The staff were great. They spoke enough English that we could communicate fairly easily (which doesn't always happen in Krakow), and they went out of their way to be helpful. In particular they printed some forms we needed for a short-term apartment rental in another city, then scanned the completed version and e-mailed it to us. We also used the free luggage storage after we checked out.
No air conditioning, and when the windows were open there was significant street noise in our third-floor room. In our group of four, three of us slept fine anyway but the pickiest sleeper had some trouble.
We stay here every year, mostly due to the location and friendliness of the staff. If you want to experience the real Krakow, then this is the place to stay. The building is old and very traditional, situated 5 mins from the old town and 5 mins from the Jewish quarter; also very handy to the train station so you can walk everywhere. It is quite noisy because of the trams right outside but if you want somewhere central and value for money, it's well worth trying.
My girlfriend and I stayed at Bluebells two years ago, and again, last week. Since our last visit they've made some nice additions, including a cafe which serves a free buffet breakfast every morning (pastries, yogurt, meat, cheese, juice, coffee, tea, rolls, etc.). We didn't have our computers with up but were pleased to find out that they now had a computer next to the reception area where we could get online.
The one thing that disappointed us was the sheets and pillows. They were laughably thin and narrow. I had to wonder this was intentional-- if instead of providing warmth, their primary function was to keep us from spooning.
staff really nice no problems what so ever always very keen to help you, an very pleasing on the eye will definitly be back soon!
Very friendly and supportive staff. Anyone speaks English. Within walkig distance of Old City and Jewish Quarter. Daily cleaning service. Kitchen, shower, even coffee facilities. All basic requirements met. What does one need anymore when visiting a city? Perfect place to sleep, have breakfast and continue to discover the city.
Breakfast is basic and the room is quite small. But why should you pay for more?
15 minute walk to all the major sights of Old Town, castle, Jewish quarter etc. Just 30 minutes from the airport via cab or a trolley right in front of the apartment takes you to the train station in 10 minutes to transfer to the airport.
Excellent value for money. Very good loaction mid way between the Old Town and Kazimierz.
We have spent there just one night, but there was absolutelly nothing to complain about. Great, helpful staff , out apartment was even better than expected for price we've paid, spacious, clean , equiped adequate to the standard.
Staff, room and central location.
Noisy road. Small breakfast though adequate.
It was in a good location for us. The staff were very friendly. It is fairly basic but more than adequate for our needs.
They started clearing snow off the roof directly above our room at 7.30 am.
Good location between the Old Town and Kazimierz - the old Jewish district of Krakow.
The hotel did not have the room I booked and paid for but offered the correct room the next day.the lift requires maiintenance do not use it.the prbooked breakfast is over priced for the selection eat out? The rooms are tired and require an up-lift badly. The only good thing are the staff which are very helpful and apologetic.
